For a small business, the owner handles all management duties including supervision of junior staff and decision-making. Many small business start-ups fail at this stage due to various challenges. Some businesses that succumb to these challenges are sold off at net present value (Poole 2002, p. 75). Survival Businesses at this stage have successfully overcome the challenges of the first stage. At this stage, the business has enough capacity of custom ers who are satisfied. The main objectives for the business are to break even and gather enough funds for expansion. The number of employees start to increase although the decision making function is still performed by the owner. At the end of this stage, the business may achieve growth in size and profitability. Some businesses however remain at this stage for a long period surviving on marginal returns until they cease operations based on the decisions of the owner (McKeown 2007, p. 61). Success Businesses at this phase have achieved growth and have collected enough funds that are capable of financing expansion. Market penetration and the volume of customers at this stage are healthy. The business can either expand or remain at this level while providing the owner with funds for diversification since the profits are above average. An increase in size of operations and the accompanying revenues prompt the owner to hire competent managers to oversee various functions within the busi ness (Singh 2010, p. 15). The systems are developed and financial planning and other methods are introduced to ensure smooth operations. To ensure survival, the company should adapt to changing conditions in the industry especially competition. For instance, many automobile makers did not make it past the 1970s and 1980s since they could not adapt to changing conditions (Rao 2002, p. 214).Advertising Looking for essay on business economics? The owners delegate most of the duties to managers to improve efficiency. The managers should be competent enough to handle environmental dynamics. The systems at this stage are under duress from growth and they are therefore improved to accommodate the extra workload. Planning and decision making are improved. For decisions to be made by the owner, vari ous factors have to be considered due to the increase in stakeholders and independence of the business from the owner. To graduate to the next level, the owner of the business must show maturity in management and financial planning (Churchill and Lewis 1983, p. 126). Resource Maturity The objectives of a company at this stage are to strengthen and manage well the financial gains achieved from the other stages. To cope up with the rapid growth, the company should also expand the management or it will succumb to the ineffectiveness arising from growth. At this stage, the business should be a separate entity from the owner. The systems should be broad and well developed. Moreover, the company should have adequate staffs who are experienced in their fields. Examples of Research Papers For High School Seniors
Examples of Research Papers For High School SeniorsWhile it is important to have high quality examples of research papers when you are planning on writing a paper for your high school senior essay, this should not be the only consideration that you make when you are creating a sample. High school seniors are constantly inundated with academic information which is not only confusing but also hard to keep up with, and examples of research papers are extremely valuable to them.Juniors are eager to learn, and when they are presented with new and unfamiliar concepts, they do not need to learn it first. An example of research paper will help them feel more confident that the concept is easy to grasp, but in reality, this is often not the case. The ability to follow a simple outline and build on your examples will benefit you as a student greatly. When you are writing an example of research paper, there are many steps involved that you should remember. The most important step, in my opinion, is to follow a simple outline, and make sure that the example is relevant to your own topic. I would also advise you to change the example to fit with your own information, rather than following it word for word.Juniors will be more comfortable with an example that is completely original. Additionally, this shows the author to be more creative and interesting and helps the junior to appreciate the work more. An example of research paper can be made even more relevant if you include a personal connection between your topic and you personally. You may want to note the name of your best friend in the background of the text to help you achieve this. The other most important thing to remember when you are writing a sample of research paper is to use real-life examples of the topics that you will be covering. Do not ever rely on imagination to inspire your own ideas. Real life examples should be included in your examples of research papers. Even though this is not necessary in every examp le, this should be done by all students. While writing an example of research paper may seem like too much work, your examples should have sufficient detail to support the ideas that you are writing about. If you don't have an example of research paper available, go ahead and make one. You should make sure that it is brief and is also very detailed.Another benefit of examples of research papers is that they will give your students an idea of what types of projects you prefer them to undertake. Because you have given them a specific project to work on, you can rest assured that they will be able to understand the topic without much difficulty. In addition, it allows you to establish a basis for discussion. Some students may be overwhelmed by the ideas that they will need to deal with during their senior year of high school, but an example of research paper will help them tremendously, especially if they have never had to write a paper before. Remember that a small amount of time spent will result in huge rewards when you turn in your final paper.

Free Essays on Socio-Political Symbolism In ââ¬ÅThe Wonderful Wizard Of Ozââ¬Â
Socio-Political Symbolism in ââ¬Å"The Wonderful Wizard of Ozâ⬠By Heather R. Posey The Wizard of Oz has long been considered an imaginative childrenââ¬â¢s tale of fantasy, but many have read into it a symbolism which goes beyond a simple fun and exciting story filled with witches, wizards, and other fairy tale creatures. The possibility of a greater depth to the work was opened to the public eye in 1964 when Henry M. Dracula 1931 vs 1992 Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words
Dracula 1931 vs 1992 - Essay Example And this opinion has remained in some ways over the last eighty years. Tod Browning, the director, and Bela Lugosi brought the world what is arguably the most famous monster in history. This version is however, very slow-paced with low-lit sets. The film does not show Dracula ever biting into his victimsââ¬â¢ necks, though. The film may have come alive if it had been made as a silent movie a few years earlier. In a non-talking film you have to show the horrors; you cannot convey horror through dialog as was attempted in 1931. It would be better if in between the dialogue, it had included sound effects or background music. When comparing to the 1992 Dracula, one finds the latter much more explicit. Director Coppola sticks to the original narrative of Bram Stoker but brings to life the horror and fear that the novel sometimes allows one to overlook. Dracula himself is seen both as the old count that Jonathan Harker meets and the younger, more suave version of the Count, who comes to London to woo Mina. The 1992 version also uses a lot of rich color and costumes to emphasize the gothic nature of the story. The script is truer to Stokerââ¬â¢s work, retaining characters like Holmswood and Quincey Morris who are usually skipped in other productions. All in all, the 1992 version may not be as iconic as the 1931 Dracula played by Lugosi, but in maintaining the terror of the story, it succeeds just as well, if not
